"I’ll be the one sobbing in the PT Cruiser out in the parking lot"
Glad you're good with it already. I was totally unprepared. I couldn't wait for last September, for my daughter to start nursery school. She had stopped taking naps that summer, and I was gonna get some time back to get stuff done.
Dropped her off, she ran to the fish tank, and LITERALLY over her shoulder said "bye Mommy!" I didn't even make it out the door. Started bawling as I was crossing through the daycare room, and was immediately tended to by some very sweet staff, who said they comfort alot more mom on the first days than kids.
On the drive home, I started laughing at myself, and called my friend Fran, getting her voicemail, and left this really snotty/crying/laughing message. She saved it and played it for all her friends. Call me your first day. I believe in sharing humiliation. ;^)))
She just told you she's ready, Hon. It's time, and that's O-k!
I'll be prayin'.....
Hmmm, you could always have ANOTHER...
This just proves you're doing a really great job with her!
First child went to kindergarten - I cried like a toddler - second child ... another story. It gets easier and remember even when they are gone all day they still look forward to that hug ( mine are in high school and still greet me with one when they get off the bus!)
